GC Entertainments can help you plan your event with many party planning ideas available for your corporate event, charity event, business conference, corporate presentations, weddings and any other special occasion. Arrivals:
Entertainment can start from the moment your guests arrive. You can have a string quartet, or jazz band to play, we can also provide novelty meet and greet personnel eg robots, look-a-likes ( Basil Fawlty, Del Boy etc), close up magicians or (where space allows) fire eaters, stilt walkers and other performers.

Reception / Meals:
A pianist makes a very popular choice for reception/dinner music, most of whom will play from a large repertoire that can include any favourite tunes.

Alternatively a classical guitarist makes for a very refreshing atmosphere with Spanish, Italian and contemporary tunes played in an unobtrusive manner. Another elegant instrument is the harp which has a unique and magical sound to enhance any occasion.

For a slightly unusual idea a magician performing table top magic at your guests tables can transform a long meal into an entertaining and enjoyable experience. How about a children's entertainer to amuse during the speeches? Also available are our caricaturists who will create amusing sketches of your guests leaving them with a lasting memento.

Toastmaster / MC:
To help your event go smoothly we suggest a toastmaster, who can make the day run well, and add an extra touch of class, bring order and efficiency to parts of the reception and allow you to relax and enjoy yourself.

Evenings:
For the evening the World of music is at your feet, with a huge selection of bands playing music from the 1920's to current chart music. A very popular choice is a Ceilidh (barn dance) band with a caller to both entertain and get your guests involved. Many bands play various styles and genres of music, the most popular being Jazz/Pop, Soul, 70's disco and 60's to 90's, and for a summer wedding how about a Caribbean or Salsa band?.

Another new idea are tribute bands, performing your favourite artists music, eg ABBA, Cher, Tina Turner, Beatles, George Michael etc, also a favourite are swing/big bands playing the 20's - 50's classics.

For continuity and variety we recommend one of our excellent DJ's, who will work sympathetically with bands, have suitable equipment, large selections of music, good personalities and will not clutter your room. For an entertaining theme why not try one of our casinos with a Blackjack and Roulette table with croupiers, using fun money of course.

Barn Dance:
The lively atmosphere of Barn Dances is guaranteed to get your party going with a swing! Our experienced callers will quickly get even the most shy guests joining in the fun in a way which will amaze everyone. Throw away your inhibitions and relax in a true country atmosphere that quickly makes you feel at home.

Whether a beginner or experienced dancer the callers job is to get you dancing immediately. This is done by walking you through the steps or patterns first before trying them to the music. It really is easy- you don't need to know the dances before hand. The bands vary in format, but all consist of the "caller" some of whom can work with backing music, or can provide a band of usually two to five musicians playing instruments including, the fiddle, bass guitar, accordion and various percussion instruments.
